More details....

This luxury 3 bedroom townhouse is one of a kind. It has been renovated to the highest standard throughout and benefits from superb views over beautiful countryside to the sea. Its placement in the village is also second to none; easy to access from the central parking area, one can even park right outside to drop off luggage or shopping. There is a Boulangerie next door and several of the best restaurants in the village literally on the doorstep.

The property is on three floors. As you enter, you arrive in a large open-plan living area, with a very well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, dining table and living area - all looking out onto the large exterior terrace, where one can eat, relax and enjoy the amazing view.  There is a large TV with English Free-Sat  channels, all French channels and access to your Netflix account.

Also on this floor, a bedroom with king-sized double bed, fitted wardrobes and sea views - across the hall is a shower room, shared by this bedroom and the bedroom upstairs. The upstairs bedroom has twin beds that can be made up separately or as a double, a fitted wardrobe and sea views.

The master bedroom is downstairs from the living area, has a king-sized double bed, views across the valley to the sea and an en-suite shower room. There is also a small salon next to it, with an overflow sofa bed and an additional TV, again with English Free-Sat channels and a DVD player.  On the same floor is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  All linen and towels are supplied, as are dressing gowns in the master bedroom, and hairdryers are available in all bedrooms.

This three storey village house, beautifully decorated in creams and beige using natural materials, is fully air-conditioned and has underfloor heating throughout for the winter months. It provides the prefect base from which to explore the whole of the Côte d’Azur—not only the coast, but the marvels of the arrière pays, the delightful hilltop villages, the rivers and waterfalls, and the stunning pre-Alps countryside, which are all on your doorstep.

Tourrettes sur Loup is a beautiful and friendly village, famous for its violets, and has a fantastic array of restaurants, even one with a Michelin star. There is a weekly market on a Wednesday, which is known as one of the best in the area and is consequently extremely popular from Easter onwards. There are many concerts, exhibitions and events that take place during the summer months, so there is always something to do, all the while stepping back a little from the hustle and bustle of the coast. There is also a pharmacie, two butchers, two boulangeries, two grocery stores and a whole range of Artisanal shops and galleries. The Boulangerie next to the house serves breakfast every morning from June to October, which is very convenient. La Cave next door is a restaurant and wine bar that also sells a great selection of wines to take away, some produced locally. Restaurant Le Cinq is opposite and provides popular innovative cuisine to locals and tourists alike, Restaurant Le Dix above serves "one-pot" delicious Italian food and is very popular with locals all year round . Tourrettes is a "living and working" village - which definitely doesn't close down in the winter!

If you fancy a trip to the beach, it’s only half an hour away, Monaco and Cannes are within 45 minutes, and you can even drive to Italy in under an hour. The neighbouring town of Vence is larger and also holds many events. Here as well, you will find a wide choice of bars and restaurants, with many art galleries and shops to peruse. The world famous Saint Paul de Vence is a short ten minutes away.

In the summer, there are various festivals in Tourrettes and the surrounding villages, with concerts and bands playing outside the 11th century Church several times a month, almost viewable from the house. Don't worry, all noise, including the church bells, has to stop at 11pm and the sound-proofing glass in the windows is impressive!

In the winter, our local ski station, Gréolières-les-Neiges can be reached in 45 minutes. It's small, but fantastic for a day out. You can see the sea from the top of the slopes and it is easily possible to ski in the morning and do some winter/spring sun-bathing on the beach in the afternoon. The larger ski resorts of Isola 2000, Auron and Valberg are only two hours away.

It is easy to see why Tourrettes and its surrounding villages have always been so popular with the artistic community and why the countryside has inspired them.
